Hello, my name is Miss. Fellows and as of January 2017, I am the new Year Three teacher, at St Joseph's School.

Working alongside myself, and the children in Year Three, is Mrs. Gallichan, who will assist and support us.

If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact us

In advance, thank you for your continued support.

 Miss. Fellows and Mrs. Gallichan

Please see below for general reminders and weekly expectations:

KS2 Notice Board – Please remember to look at the notice board, as this is updated weekly with information relating specifically to Y3, as well as Key Stage 2.

P.E. – This will be indoors on a Tuesday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school, all week, and that all items are clearly labelled.

Reading - Like in Year 2, your child’s reading book will still continue to be changed on a Monday and Thursday; please remember to sign your child’s journal after reading at home with them. It is expected that children will read to an adult for 5-10 minutes each night. The children will also have lots of opportunities to read, and enjoy books, throughout the week at school and reading is supported by daily Guided Reading sessions with Miss Fellows and Mrs Gallichan

Times Tables – Year 3 will have a weekly times table ‘test’, which will take place on a Wednesday afternoon. Please support your child in practising these at home. If you require a new times table CD, which your child received last year, please speak to us.

Spellings – The children will be given weekly spellings; these spellings are personalised to your child. Please support your child in practising these words at home, for a short test, each Wednesday, the following week.

Homework – Please look at the Creative Homework Grid, below, to see your child’s homework opportunities, as well as all of the activities available on Active Learn - Abacus, Wordsmith, Bug Club, Science Bug & Phonics Bug.
