During the course of 2015-16, the PTA raised a fabulous £3,000 from the Disco Nights, Movie Nights, Christmas Fayre, Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day fundraising events, Sports Day and various raffles.
Many thanks to members of the PTA, and to parents, for supporting all of the events.
With this money, the PTA made contributions to school to purchase new books for all classes, purchase the new Project X Reading Scheme Books, paid for a live Christmas Disney concert, made a contribution towards the Young Voices event in January and made a contribution towards the Year 6 Leavers’ gifts.
Thanks to everyone involved in the PTA over the past year.
Parents may speak to Claire Fisher c/o school with any fundraising ideas / suggestions you may have for 2016-17 and to let the PTA know if you are available and willing to help at any events.
Thank you for your continued support.
Autumn Term 'Frozen' Disco
Queen Elsa travelled all the way from Arendelle to join the KS1 and KS2 discos.
On Friday 5th December, we held our hugely successful Christmas Fayre. Stalls included 'Name the Bear', 'Water or Wine', as well as a traditional tombola; there was even a chance to win a computer tablet in our raffle!
All year groups, from Upper Foundation to Year 6 also set up stall with there Christmas enterprise goodies. Each class was given £1 per pupil to create a Christmas gift including baubles, ornaments and chocolate treats!
We were also very lucky to have a visit from Father Christmas, who set up his grotto within the school library. In addition, St Joseph's School Choir performed carols around the piano, whilst everyone enjoyed a cup of coffee and a mince pie.
This was the perfect way to start off the festive season!
A Visit from Santa Claus!
The PTA were able to contact Father Christmas personally and kindly asked him if would pop into St Joseph's during our party afternoon and see all of our boys and girls! Everyone was extremely lucky to receive an early gift from him!
Mothers' Day Goods Sale
Whether you wanted chocolates, candles, bookmarks or scented soaps, St Joseph's P.T.A Mother's Day Stall was the place to be!!! Miss Fisher ran her stall throughout the day, allowing all year groups to visit and purchase what they required. We had lots of lucky ladies this year!!
