As of 3:30pm, on Friday 20th March, St Joseph's Catholic Primary School will close, following a national directive from the Prime Minister and UK Government, regarding the global pandemic of Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Staff have put together a series of resources that children will be able to access from home.
We are aware that not all households have internet access or equitable access to tablets and computers, so we have sent home physical packs of work with children. Children without digital access will not miss out on learning opportunities. For those children/families who have already self-isolated, home learning packs have been delivered to each home by staff.
Staff will ensure that they have an online presence for children who are able to engage with web based resources - see the Useful Links page.
It is an expectation that children engage in daily home learning in the event of a school closure.
During the School Closure, if you have any questions regarding your child’s work, require any support or advice with their tasks or have concerns regarding the closure, please do not visit the school as most staff will be working remotely but contact the following email addresses:
Staff will monitor these email addresses between 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday, and will aim to respond as soon as possible.
We will also be updating our Facebook page - @stjosephsmoorthorpe and again, will respond to comments/questions as soon as possible.
Staff will continue to use Facebook and the email system with further updates and additional study work to be undertaken.
